Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher for a high-impact, long-term role at a welcoming secondary school in the Crosby area to start from April 2026. You will be a key member of a thriving Humanities department. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a school known for its strong community ethos and commitment to staff.

Job Responsibility:

Plan and deliver creative Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, bringing the subject to life through contemporary case studies
Assess student work and provide constructive feedback that drives progress and fosters a love for the subject
Lead and support local fieldwork, making the most of the unique Sefton coastline and urban landscapes
Work alongside a friendly team to develop resources and share best practices
Engage in the wider school community, potentially taking on form tutor responsibilities to support student well-being

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification with a degree in Geography or a related field
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to prepare students for GCSE success
Ability to create a focused, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
A proactive attitude and a willingness to adapt to the specific needs of the school and its pupils
