Are you a passionate and inspiring Geography Teacher looking for a new challenge in a supportive and thriving school environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our dedicated faculty at this beautiful school in the charming market town of Ilkley.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing high quality lessons to engage, challenge and inspire students
  • Teaching Geography across the full ability range
  • Commitment to inclusion and personal development, including extra-curricular and enrichment
  • Sharing best practice
  • Creating and maintaining positive and supportive relationships with staff, parents, and stakeholders
  • Engaging with appropriate training opportunities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching Geography
  • Can teach GCSE and A Level
  • A commitment to providing high quality lessons to engage, challenge and inspire our students
  • An individual with the ability to teach Geography across the full ability range, including the potential to teach A level depending on the candidate
  • A strong commitment to inclusion and personal development, including extra-curricular and enrichment
  • A colleague who is inspirational to staff and students and committed to sharing best practice
  • A dedicated, passionate and responsive teacher who has resilience and a strong, positive work ethic
  • Create and maintain positive and supportive relationships with staff, parents, and stakeholders
  • Engage with appropriate training opportunities to promote professional effectiveness in this role
