Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Qualified Geography Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in the heart of Crosby, Sefton. This is a long-term opportunity starting this April, ideal for a teacher who wants to work in a school that balances academic excellence with a strong sense of community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver creative Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, bringing the subject to life through contemporary case studies
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback that drives progress and fosters a love for the subject
  • Lead and support local fieldwork, making the most of the unique Sefton coastline and urban landscapes
  • Work alongside a friendly team to develop resources and share best practices
  • Engage in the wider school community, potentially taking on form tutor responsibilities to support student well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification with a degree in Geography or a related field
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to prepare students for GCSE success
  • The ability to create a focused, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to adapt to the specific needs of the school and its pupils
