Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students make sustained progress
  • Plan and lead local fieldwork opportunities to provide students with practical, real-world geographical experience
  • Utilize digital mapping tools and GIS technology to enhance classroom learning and spatial awareness
  • Prepare Year 11 students for their GCSE examinations through rigorous assessment and supportive feedback
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular clubs or environmental initiatives

Requirements

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of the current UK National Curriculum and GCSE specifications
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire a diverse range of learners
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
