Experience working in a laboratory environment required
Preferred 1+ years experience performing laboratory research (previous work in a biology research lab for at least 6 months and have at least 3 months of experience performing mammalian cell culture)
Previous experience working with live mice and human stem cells is preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific field
Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree by their anticipated start date
Candidates must be committed to working for at least 2 years

Job Responsibility

Conducts routine laboratory research procedures
Follows protocol to perform experiments
Tabulates data and may assist with analysis
Performs routine equipment maintenance and orders supplies
May provide instruction to support personnel
Maintain and differentiate human stem cells
Clone DNA constructs
Perform genome editing using CRISPR
Perform transduction/transfections, flow cytometry, western blot, RT-qPCR, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and mouse surgeries
Rotate with 2-3 other lab mates to maintain cell cultures over the weekends

Job Responsibility

Verify that works are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and notify the Construction Superintendent of any non‑conformance request needs
Provide details to support the issuing of non‑conformance reports
Maintain strong communication with all site teams and ensure surveillance activities are promptly reported
Contribute surveillance data to support KPI measurements
Identify potential quality issues early and support mitigation actions
Assist the team in implementing temporary measures to maintain safety and quality, and take proportionate follow‑up actions (e.g. issuing communications, arranging meetings)
Ensure design decisions are not made informally on site and are escalated through the proper approval process
Maintain awareness of current and upcoming site activities
Ensure tasks are delivered to required health, safety and environmental standards
Develop and maintain an understanding of construction drawings, activities, Quality Control Plans and Quality Inspection Records
