Job Responsibility

Participating in the day-to-day operations of a diesel engine driven power plant and power distribution system at a remote overseas facility located in Saudi Arabia
Making clear and concise logbook entries on a regular basis
Drafting reports and memos for management
All installation, service, maintenance, repair, and operation of diesel engine driven generators and the associated power distribution equipment
Using analytical and critical thinking to solve simple to complex mechanical and electrical problems
Executing best work place safety practices in accordance with OSHA and NFPA standards
Utilizing specialty test equipment including Insulation Resistance testing, Polarization Index Testing, Hi-Pot testing, Turns Ratio Testing, and various PLC programming tasks
Maintenance on the fuel storage system as well as receiving fuel deliveries and conducting quality tests

Job Responsibility

Work a 10 to 12-hour shift as dictated by program manager, to provide 24 hours support for the power plant
Make log book entries for all events during shift, use MS Excel and MS Word to draft various reports required in daily operation of site
Perform all trouble-shooting, fault analysis, fault mitigation, and repair tasks, monitor power plant operation and taking readings as directed
Safely operate power generation and distribution equipment within written guidelines
Execution of extra duties as assigned by site supervision, to include but not be limited to
Property Control Manager, Tool Control Monitor, Haz-Waste Monitor, FOE Monitor, and Safety Manager
Work with minimal supervision or direction to solve problems with a variety of variables
trouble shoot and repair equipment malfunctions
Record accurate readings of all instrumentation and various monitoring equipment detailing important data relevant to plants operation including kWH produced, fuel consumption, voltage, HZ
Comply with all required environmental health and safety programs

Commission, program, and troubleshoot a variety of generator control platforms (e.g. Deep Sea, ComAp, Basler, Woodward, Kohler Decision-Maker, Cummins PowerCommand)
Inspect, test, configure, and troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) — both mechanically and electrically — across different manufacturers and voltage classes
Execute and oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance programs including oil and coolant analysis, filter servicing, load bank testing, battery maintenance, and fluid inspections
Help develop, review, and improve company PM checklists, service intervals, and maintenance procedures to ensure consistency and quality across the field team
Coordinate with electricians, contractors, and other trades on larger installation or commissioning projects — managing sequencing, communicating scope, and keeping jobs on track without constant management oversight
Conduct job site walk-throughs to assess existing infrastructure, identify requirements for new installations or upgrades, and provide technical input to support estimating and proposals
Respond to escalated calls and field questions from other technicians, providing remote or on-site guidance to resolve issues efficiently
