Job Description:

Smart Assistant is a suite of GenAI applications for document & data inquiry, leveraging cutting-edge AI to revolutionize how Finance interact with their data. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI to join our team in Tampa, Florida, and play a key role in the continued development of our Finance Smart Assistant.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for the Finance Smart Assistant
Lead the integration of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques
Develop and refine Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions
Utilize table transformers and other advanced Python packages for extracting and processing complex financial data
Work end-to-end on GenAI solutions, from data preprocessing and model development to deployment and monitoring
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GenAI
Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Computer Sciences or related field
Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in developing and deploying Generative AI solutions in real-world settings
Deep understanding of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications
Deep understanding of Transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT)
Deep understanding of Agentic AI
Deep understanding of Prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques
Deep understanding of Vector databases and similarity search
Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks for building GenAI applications
Understanding of Model evaluation metrics for GenAI
Understanding of MLOps principles and practices for deploying and managing AI models
Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience with end-to-end AI project development and deployment

Nice to have:

Formal coursework or certifications in Data Science
Experience in the financial services industry
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Contributions to open-source AI projects
