Demonstrated expertise in prior authorizations and pre-certifications for surgical procedures
Hands-on experience with insurance verification and benefits coordination

Proficiency with medical practice management software and electronic health records (EHR)

Job Responsibility

Process and manage prior authorizations and pre-certifications for surgeries
Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and coordinate with payers to assure approvals for scheduled treatments
Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate calendar management
Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other clinic staff
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
Prepare and submit documentation required for insurance claims and authorizations
Provide general administrative support including phone coverage, patient check-in/check-out, filing, faxing, and office correspondence
Assist with billing inquiries and act as a liaison between patients and the billing department to resolve issues promptly
Support neurosurgeons and clinical staff with logistics and necessary paperwork for pre- and post-surgical processes
