Job Description

Seeking a General Superintendent with experience working on international/OCONUS Federal projects with a minimum of a Secret clearance.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Home Office Mechanical Procurement Coordinator to develop and finalize operational plans, job layouts, and schedules
  • Oversee the daily activities of crafts and subcontractors, ensuring effective delegation through foremen and subcontractors
  • Maintain clear communication with project staff to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and timelines
  • Review project plans, budget, and estimates in conjunction with the project management team to confirm understanding of scope and material requirements
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and assist in resolving construction challenges such as productivity issues and work interface problems

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multicultural teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster cooperation with clients and other stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of construction plans, specifications, and compliance standards
  • Physical capability to work in varying conditions, including the ability to lift over 50lbs and endure confined spaces or heights
  • Minimum of a Secret security clearance required

  • Extensive field Special Projects construction experience at supervisory level (Minimum 10 years as Senior Superintendent-Special Projects)
  • Extensive Special Projects construction experience working on multiple projects and overseeing other Superintendents
  • Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or achievement of STS Certification within six months of hire, maintenance of active certification status
  • Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and prior experience as foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or project engineer
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws
