We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic General Secretary to join our friendly Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting a highly skilled multidisciplinary service that works across a wide range of healthcare settings. The successful candidate will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Speech and Language Therapy team, ensuring the smooth running of the service and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive secretarial support including word processing, audio typing, and producing correspondence, reports, and documentation
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, responding to queries and requests as appropriate
Maintain diaries and support the organisation of meetings, including minute taking and preparation of papers
Handle general telephone and written enquiries from clients, carers, and professionals in a professional and confidential manner
Collate and prepare statistical or service-related information as required
Maintain effective administrative systems including filing, photocopying, and data input
Schedule patient and staff appointments and manage associated records
Requirements:
Highly organised
Strong communication skills
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Previous secretarial or administrative experience
Experience in a healthcare or community setting is a strong advantage
