Job Responsibility
Deliver engaging General Science lessons across the secondary curriculum
Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to a range of abilities
Follow existing schemes of work and curriculum guidance
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Use assessment to monitor progress and support student understanding
Provide clear feedback to help students improve their learning
Adapt lesson delivery to meet individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff team
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Requirements
Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
Confident teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Organised, flexible, and reliable approach
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
Willingness to commit to a part-time role for the full duration of the contract
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
