Job Responsibility

Drill holes in a granite block with a pneumatic hammer
Insert wedges into the holes and use a sledgehammer to break the blocks to the required dimensions
Operate drilling equipment
Operate saws to cut large blocks of granite from the open pit quarry
Follow policies and procedures to assure quality work
Maintain a clean work area
Work safely, according to guidelines and training, to prevent possible injuries to self and others
Perform additional duties as required
