Job Responsibility

  • Work closely in collaboration with our Industrial Design and Engineering teams to design and manufacture various prototypes of cabinets, mechanisms and other aircraft cabin elements
  • Be a stakeholder in research and development activities for the aircraft cabin and participate in the evaluation of materials under development
  • Participate in the development of drawings and technical specifications for prototypes
  • Make models at various scales with a variety of materials and technologies
  • Cut, form and assemble prototypes and models
  • Improve designs through a process of iteration, testing and design review
  • Provide solutions and resolve complex problems using manufacturing and prototyping techniques

Requirements

  • technical diploma in aerospace construction, composite material, cabinetmaking or in model making
  • recognized for ingenuity, versatility, agility and flexibility
  • minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the field of cabinet making, composite materials or prototype manufacturing
  • proven ability to manufacture and develop prototypes from sketches and renderings
  • individual who possesses creativity that is aligned with Bombardier's philosophy of design and innovation: highly innovative and functional and in order to exceed our customers' expectations

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Rhino design software is an asset
  • bilingual in French and in English (asset)
