Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care consultations through multiple modalities (face-to-face, video, telephone)
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Conduct home visits when necessary
  • Oversee chronic disease management
  • Maintain high standards in patient care
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Involve in clinical teaching
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform minor surgical procedures
  • Establish and maintain effective referral pathways

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice and inclusion on the GP Register
  • Completion of GP specialty training (CCT or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in NHS General Practice
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and revalidation compliance
  • Knowledge of and adherence to current clinical guidelines
  • Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, and maintaining high standards of care

Nice to have:

  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior doctors, medical students, or allied healthcare professionals
  • Special interest in areas such as chronic disease management, or women's health
  • Completed postgraduate qualifications relevant to General Practice (e.g., Diploma in Dermatology or Family Planning)
  • Understanding and experience in primary care innovation or service improvement
  • Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne, or similar GP software systems
  • Interest or experience in leadership roles within a clinical setting
  • Additional languages spoken relevant to the local community
  • Experience in teaching or delivering structured CPD sessions
