Job Responsibility:
Deliver comprehensive primary care consultations through multiple modalities (face-to-face, video, telephone)
Manage acute and chronic conditions
Conduct home visits when necessary
Oversee chronic disease management
Maintain high standards in patient care
Mentor junior staff
Involve in clinical teaching
Lead quality improvement initiatives
Perform minor surgical procedures
Establish and maintain effective referral pathways
Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a license to practice and inclusion on the GP Register
Completion of GP specialty training (CCT or equivalent)
Experience of working in NHS General Practice
Excellent clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Evidence of ongoing professional development and revalidation compliance
Knowledge of and adherence to current clinical guidelines
Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, and maintaining high standards of care
Nice to have:
Experience in supervising or mentoring junior doctors, medical students, or allied healthcare professionals
Special interest in areas such as chronic disease management, or women's health
Completed postgraduate qualifications relevant to General Practice (e.g., Diploma in Dermatology or Family Planning)
Understanding and experience in primary care innovation or service improvement
Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne, or similar GP software systems
Interest or experience in leadership roles within a clinical setting
Additional languages spoken relevant to the local community
Experience in teaching or delivering structured CPD sessions
