Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced GP to support a busy practice in the Hertford area on a locum basis. This short-term assignment offers standard daytime hours across two consecutive days, making it ideal for a GP seeking flexible additional sessions within primary care. The successful candidate will be confident managing a combination of telephone consultations, face-to-face appointments, and associated administrative duties, while delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced GP setting. No home visits are required, allowing for a fully practice-based role.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver telephone and face-to-face GP consultations
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of patient presentations
  • Complete self-generated administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed patient records using System 1
  • Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure excellent patient care

Requirements

  • GMC registered GP with relevant primary care experience
  • Confident managing telephone and face-to-face consultations
  • Experience using System 1
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

  • To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority
  • Working with the Practice Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan – including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management
