Job Description:

We're seeking clinicians who combine strong clinical expertise with a passion for delivering care in innovative, digitally enabled ways. At Boots Online Doctor, we provide a range of healthcare services through asynchronous, message-based consulting, complemented by telephone and video consultations for a smaller portion of our patients. This role supports our mission to deliver safe, accessible, and modern clinical care through digital channels. As a member of our GP team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient consultations, shaping inclusive virtual care pathways, and collaborating with our digital teams to enhance clinical services. You'll report to the Deputy Medical Director and be part of a supportive, connected team — including daily virtual coffee catch-ups to stay engaged and share insights.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide patient care through message-based, telephone, and video consultations
  • Act as Duty Doctor, offering clinical oversight to non-medical prescribers
  • Participate in regular medical learning events and ongoing professional development
  • Engage with the team in daily virtual coffee catch-ups to foster connection and collaboration

Requirements:

  • GMC-registered GP with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Digitally confident, with experience in online consultations and digital clinical systems or strong motivation to work in digital-first healthcare
  • Proficient in digital platforms, telehealth systems, and electronic health records
  • Strong communication skills and confident in independent clinical decision-making
  • Open to innovation and modern care models
  • Collaborative across clinical and digital teams
  • Patient-focused, with a strong empathy-driven approach
  • Passionate about telehealth and digital healthcare innovation

Nice to have:

  • Experience or strong interest in service design, clinical governance, or digital safety in digital healthcare
  • Passion for improving patient care via digital and asynchronous models
  • Familiarity with remote prescribing, asynchronous consultations, or digital triage
  • Comfortable with key digital tools and online care environments
What we offer:
  • Boots Retirement Savings Plan
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Generous employee discounts
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child
  • Flexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more
  • Access to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme
