We are looking for a dedicated General Office Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Surfside, Florida. In this role, you will provide essential support to our municipal office by assisting clients, managing data entry tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your organizational skills in a local government environment.

Job Responsibility:

Greet and assist clients visiting the municipal office
Perform accurate data entry tasks
Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues
Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate reports, track data, and support administrative functions
Support office operations by managing correspondence, filing documents, and maintaining supplies
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and workflow
Handle phone calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate departments
Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures

Requirements:

Proven experience in customer service or office administration
Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other basic office software
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy

Nice to have:

Proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory
Prior experience in a municipal or government setting is desirable
