We are looking for a dependable General Office Clerk to join a fast-paced document operations team in New Jersey. Job Responsibility:
Process incoming mail by receiving, sorting, and routing documents to the appropriate workflow stages
Prepare physical paperwork for digital intake by arranging, labeling, and organizing files before scanning
Operate office scanning equipment to capture documents efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy standards
Compare scanned or received records against loan documentation and update files when matches are confirmed
Identify missing information, discrepancies, or damaged materials and elevate concerns to the appropriate team members
Maintain orderly document storage through filing, packaging, and coordinating outgoing shipments as needed
Move between assigned teams and functions as needed, providing coverage where workloads are highest
Support onboarding steps, including completion of required screening before the start of assignment
Requirements:
Previous experience in office support, document handling, retail, production, or other fast-paced operational settings is preferred
Ability to perform repetitive, high-volume tasks with consistent attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency, including comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage paper files, scanned records, and workflow priorities
Reliable attendance, adaptability, and willingness to assist across multiple teams when needed
Capability to perform light physical tasks related to mail handling, document movement, and shipping activities
Effective communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to working in a team-oriented office environment
