We are looking for a dependable General Office Clerk to support daily administrative operations for a busy office in Winthrop, Maine. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys assisting clients, managing office records, and keeping routine processes organized during a high-demand seasonal period.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome clients and provide courteous front-line support by answering questions and directing requests to the appropriate team members
Handle incoming calls through a multi-line phone system, take clear messages, and ensure timely follow-up when needed
Enter and update information accurately in office records, databases, and other administrative systems
Organize, file, and maintain paper and electronic documents so materials are easy to locate and review
Assist with day-to-day clerical tasks such as scheduling, preparing forms, and supporting general office workflow
Monitor administrative priorities during the busy season and help maintain efficient operations in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role
Strong customer service skills with a detail-focused and helpful communication style
Ability to perform accurate data entry and manage detailed information with care
Experience organizing and maintaining files in both physical and digital formats
Comfortable using a multi-line phone system and handling a steady volume of calls
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
