Job Description:

We are seeking General Medicine Registrars to join healthcare services across Australia. This role offers broad exposure to acute and general medical conditions, supporting the delivery of high-quality inpatient care while working alongside experienced consultants in a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide medical care for inpatients across a wide range of general medical conditions
  • Perform patient assessments, develop management plans, and coordinate ongoing care
  • Manage acute admissions and support patient flow within medical units
  • Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Liaise with speciality teams to ensure comprehensive patient management
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Eligible via Competent Authority Pathway (UK/Ireland)
  • Experience at Registrar level in General Medicine
  • Experience managing acute and complex medical patients
  • Experience within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system
  • Minimum 1 year of NHS experience
  • Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-morbid patients
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
