Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for a General Medicine Consultant to work within a supportive clinical environment in Australia. This role is ideal for a General Physician with a special interest in Neurology, offering flexible engagement models and varied working patterns to support work-life balance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver comprehensive consultant-led care across General Medicine services
  • Manage acute and complex medical presentations with subspecialty Neurology input where appropriate
  • Provide clinical leadership and senior decision-making within multidisciplinary teams
  • Support safe patient flow, discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to service development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year NHS experience
  • UK candidates considered for permanent roles if college-assessed

Nice to have:

  • General Physician with an interest in Neurology
  • Strong clinical leadership and collaborative working style
  • Ability to work across varied medical caseloads
