JW Marriott Quito is seeking an accomplished and values-driven General Manager to lead one of Ecuador’s most iconic luxury hotels. This executive role is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, brand compliance, and cultural leadership of the hotel. As the primary leader and Chief Culture Officer, the General Manager ensures the consistent delivery of the JW Marriott brand promise—creating meaningful, personalized guest experiences while fostering a people-first culture grounded in integrity, discipline, respect, and continuous development.
Job Responsibility:
Overall strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, brand compliance, and cultural leadership of the hotel
Ensure the consistent delivery of the JW Marriott brand promise—creating meaningful, personalized guest experiences while fostering a people-first culture
Lead the Executive Committee, driving sustainable business performance, overseeing all hotel operations (Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, and Support Areas)
Partner closely with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams to maximize profitability, market share, and brand positioning
Serve as the principal liaison with ownership, ensuring transparent communication, strong governance, and alignment between brand standards and ownership objectives
Represent the hotel within the local community, strengthen its reputation, and ensure excellence in guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and operational standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a General Manager in a luxury or full-service hotel environment
Strong strategic, financial, and commercial acumen, with demonstrated results in GOP, EBITDA, RevPAR, and ADR
Deep operational knowledge across all hotel departments
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing executive teams
Strong commitment to people-first leadership, associate engagement, and talent development
Experience working closely with ownership and senior stakeholders
Solid expertise in brand compliance, risk management, governance, and quality standards
High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and strong executive presence
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills
Advanced English proficiency required
Spanish fluency required
High on-property visibility and operational availability
