The Brown, Autograph Collection by Marriott is seeking an accomplished, visionary, and service-driven General Manager to lead our luxury lifestyle property in the iconic destination of Guatapé, Colombia. As the leader of the hotel, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring full compliance with Marriott brand standards while positioning the property as one of Colombia's premier luxury destinations. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced hospitality executive who combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and a passion for luxury service. The General Manager provides overall strategic, operational, financial, and cultural leadership for the hotel. The role is responsible for maximizing profitability, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, owner relations, and long-term asset value while ensuring excellence in all operational areas.
Job Responsibility
Lead and inspire all hotel departments toward a culture of excellence
Develop a high-performance leadership team
Foster a positive, inclusive, and guest-focused work environment
Promote Marriott's service culture and company values
Oversee all hotel operations, including Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Security, Housekeeping
Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service recovery
Maintain compliance with Marriott operating standards and brand requirements
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
Manage annual operating budgets
Maximize revenue, profitability, and GOP performance
Analyze financial reports and implement action plans
Optimize labor productivity and operating costs
Working hand-in hand with the corporate Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams
Increase market share and RevPAR performance
Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
Strengthen the hotel's positioning within the luxury hospitality market
Working hand-in hand with the Human Resources team to develop Recruitment, training, and exceptional talent retention strategies
Drive employee engagement and succession planning
Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous learning
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field
Minimum 10 years of progressive hotel management experience
At least 5 years as General Manager or Hotel Manager in luxury or upper-upscale hotels
Experience with Marriott International or another global luxury hotel brand is highly preferred
Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management
Experience leading multi-department hotel operations
Excellent leadership and team development skills
Strong business, negotiation, and communication abilities
Fluency in English and Spanish
Availability to reside in Guatapé, Antioquia

Experience opening or repositioning luxury hotels

Revenue management expertise
Knowledge of Colombian hospitality market
