The ACER General Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing all aspects of ACER’s operations—ensuring reliable fleet availability, cost-effective performance, and exceptional service. This role will oversee equipment procurement, maintenance, logistics, asset management, budgeting, and vendor relationships. The ACER General Manager will play a key part in developing ACER into a strategic advantage for ANDRES by improving equipment control, optimizing rental spend, and enhancing jobsite productivity.
Job Responsibility:
Cultural Leadership: personally embody and actively promote the ANDRES five core values
Asset Tracking & Management: maintain accurate records, implement and manage asset-tracking systems, track utilization, location, maintenance status, and lifecycle, manage project requests, oversee scheduling and allocation of equipment
Equipment Maintenance: develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, inspections, and certifications, ensure all assets meet safety, regulatory, and manufacturer standards, monitor equipment health and downtime
Financial & Operational Optimization: analyze asset utilization to support purchasing/expansion, disposal, and transfer decisions, assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting, manage monthly invoicing, review vendor quotes and negotiate service, repair, and leasing agreements, explore partnership opportunities
Compliance & Safety: maintain fleet compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations, ensure all equipment documentation is current, support the implementation of company safety policies
Strategic Planning & Development: partner with executive leadership to set short- and long-term goals, maintain the ACER business plan
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in construction equipment asset management or rental equipment operations
Familiarity with fleet management, telematics, and asset tracking systems
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
Excellent communication and vendor management abilities
Proficient with Excel and asset management software
Nice to have:
Preferred mechanical or technical background particularly related to equipment troubleshooting knowledge
Preferred experience in construction-related equipment management or heavy equipment rental industry
