Job Responsibility
Strategy & Business Development - Develop and execute the business unit's strategic and annual operating plans, including organic growth and M&A opportunities
Identify and drive new business development in port adjacencies, digital solutions, and ecosystem partnerships
Build local market expertise, intelligence, and key account relationships to grow revenue and expand the business unit's competitive position
Commercial & Financial Performance - Own the P&L and deliver against annual budget and medium-term financial targets, including volume growth, profitability, and returns (ROTA, ROE, ROIC)
Negotiate and manage customer service contracts and commercial agreements
Ensure all concession, shareholder, and joint venture agreements are actively managed and the company's interests are protected
Leadership & Operations - Lead and develop a high-performing local management team, setting clear objectives and fostering accountability
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business unit
Champion initiatives in sustainability and digitalisation in line with group strategy
Stakeholder Management - Cultivate strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, and joint venture shareholders
Serve as the primary interface between the local business and regional and group leadership
Identify and develop talent within the organisation, including succession planning for senior roles
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a management role with direct P&L responsibility
Proven track record of commercial achievement in port, logistics, terminal, or related industries
Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute in a complex, multi stakeholder environment
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams across cultures and geographies
Excellent communication and influencing skills
comfortable engaging at board, government, and customer levels
Experience managing joint ventures or partnerships is an advantage
Fluency in English
Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage given the operating context
