Our client is looking for a General Manager to lead the Columbia, South Carolina facility. This on-site role focuses on turning lean manufacturing thinking into real results, balancing safety, quality, and reliable delivery with strong financial performance. You will guide the remanufacture of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic product lines and ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all policies.
Job Responsibility:
Lead site management teams to achieve business goals using lean methods, ensuring capacity, safety, on-time delivery, customer commitments, product quality, cost reduction, and margin expansion
Oversee the remanufacture of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic product lines and drive improvements in EHS, quality, reliability, UX variance, and inventory control
Own financial performance related to work-orders, inventory, UX variance, and functional cost
partner with teams to reduce product cost and improve profitability
Build a one-team culture, ensure clear communication across all levels, and actively engage employees in safety, learning, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with the commercial team on proposals, monthly sales and EBIT targets, and exploring new product opportunities
Develop capacity plans and contingency strategies to sustain delivery during demand shifts or facility challenges
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of five years in a General Manager or Plant Manager role, or equivalent operational leadership experience
Strong ability to drive accountability, improve culture, coach teams, and engage employees
Solid understanding of operations and business financials, including shop functions, UX variance, and inventory
Excellent oral and written communication, plus strong interpersonal and leadership skills
