As General Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for the entire portfolio. You will lead, motivate, and supervise management teams, setting high service standards across all outlets.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with SOPs, create a cooperative working environment, and personally handle customer complaints
Oversee stock checks, provide weekly reports to the DoL, and regularly update SOPs
Responsible for recruitment, training, appraisals, and motivation. Ensure rota compliance and avoid employing agency staff except in emergencies
Oversee menu costing and itemization, constantly reviewing product prices. Collaborate with head chefs to select suppliers, focusing on quality and local sourcing
Maintain agreed stock levels, label and rotate stock, minimize waste, and ensure daily paperwork completion
Work closely with HR on health and safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
Prepare and agree on operating plans, review monthly statements, and provide commentary on deviations
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing and running a team in a similar operation
Knowledge of business management principles and practices
Passion for high-quality service, food, and beverage standards
Experience in banqueting and hotel management
Familiarity with EPOS applications, specifically Guestline Rezlynx
Excellent decision-making, coaching, and organizational skills
Ability to deliver creative solutions and attention to detail
