About the role: As General Manager of Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake will provide leadership and management for all hotel personnel: directly for 7 key management personnel and indirectly for management, non-management personnel. Establish plans of character, integrity, and quality, which results in the continued life, growth, and profitability of the business. Accepts responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of hotel guests and employees. Be accountable for all personnel actions, assets, and personal property and the results of their use. Represent the hotel to civic, business, industry and local government. This role is on Planning Committee level, reporting into the Regional Vice President.

Job Responsibility

  • To develop, with the aid of key personnel, strategies and programs to ensure attainment of hotel goals and objectives
  • The ability to submit an annual marketing plan consisting of direct sales, advertising, and public relations with budgets
  • To prepare a comprehensive annual operating profit plan, for all departments in the hotel with addendum plans for maintenance, repair, sanitation, energy conservation and uniform replacement
  • Ensure the hotel has an organizational chart showing both structure and people that is compatible with the business strategies and capable of achieving the physical and fiscal plans of the hotel
  • Implement development and training programs in all departments to produce in-depth qualified personnel, to ensure continuity of management, and to prepare for vacancy and/or transfer requirements
  • Keep the supervising Vice President informed about the condition of the hotel and all-important factors influencing its operation
  • Establish the source of business available to the hotel and establish priority and sales opportunities in the development of that business
  • To conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner, which encourages manner or conduct

Requirements

  • 10-15 years hotel operations and/or management
  • Being calm and patient and being of service passion
  • Team player. Being fair and responsible. Be passion and love working
  • Be familiar with computer software including Microsoft, CAD. Be of excellent business writing skills
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • God knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Logic, eye for details, approachable and willing to help
  • College or above degree or equivalence is preferred
  • With working experience in China or the Greater China region
