Job Description:

Join our team at Aussie Pet Mobile as a General Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our mobile grooming salon, ensuring a safe, high-standard environment for pets and a productive, positive atmosphere for staff. This role balances business administration (scheduling, inventory, and KPIs) with client relations and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a pet-lover with a sharp eye for operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the daily grooming schedule to maximize productivity
  • Ensure the mobile salons meet all health and safety regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure all equipment is in peak working condition
  • Manage the ordering of shampoos, tools, and supplies
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of experienced groomers and receptionists
  • Create weekly staff rotations that align with booking demand
  • Conduct regular check-ins to provide feedback ensuring each associate maintains high morale
  • Act as the primary point of contact for complex client inquiries or complaints
  • Enforce strict safety handling procedures to minimize stress for the pets and prevent injuries to staff
  • Perform routine checks on mobile grooming equipment ensuring they meet signature standards
  • Monitor daily revenue, labor costs, and rebooking rates
  • Coordinate with the owner on local promotions, social media content, and loyalty programs

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a management role, preferably in the pet industry, veterinary field, or high-end retail/hospitality
  • Strong understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and basic health signs
  • Proficiency with technology, scheduling software and basic office suites
  • Exceptional patience
