An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team! Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a General Manager to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. This is a large-scale, high-volume, multi-outlet operation generating $60M+ in annual revenue with strong EBITDA performance and peak occupancy from April to September. This is not a back-office leadership role. This is hands-on, visible and community-embedded. The highlight of being a Hotel General Manager here is from the moment your guests arrive, you're there to ensure that their every need is met. You oversee the exceptional staff and amenities, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead all aspects of hotel and F&B operations across Zone 1
  • Drive profitability and ROI through labour management, cost control and revenue optimisation
  • Establish and monitor KPIs focused on continuous improvement and guest satisfaction
  • Review financial performance, investigate variances and implement corrective strategies
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence across the property and outdoor dining venues
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and asset management to protect company investment
  • Manage weather-dependent outdoor dining experiences with proactive contingency planning
  • Personally manage VIP guest experiences and resolve complex guest matters
  • Develop and maintain SOPs to drive efficiency, safety and service excellence
  • Represent the resort at community and industry events and host familiarisation visits
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Foster a culture aligned to Voyages values: Trust, Respect, Excellence and Courage

Requirements:

  • Extensive premium hotel/resort leadership experience (remote highly regarded)
  • Strong financial acumen with proven budget ownership and labour cost management
  • Deep Food & Beverage operational expertise across multi-outlet environments
  • Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Liquor, Accommodation and Environmental legislation
  • A strong track record of leading diverse teams and developing future leaders
  • A commitment to supporting Indigenous employment and development outcomes
  • Resilience, initiative and advanced planning capability
