The General Manager is a member of the senior management team who will work collaboratively as part of the leadership group to insure the overall financial performance and sustainability of the business. The General Manager will have proven experience providing team leadership, both directly and through subordinate supervisors, on all aspects of the activities involved in plywood manufacturing including oversight and responsibility for safety, production, recovery, efficiency, maintenance, and cost improvement. Candidates should have career success in plywood manufacturing at the plant or operations manager level with a demonstrated leadership, communication and managerial competence. Relevant post-secondary education in engineering, business or wood science will be beneficial but not essential.
