Job Description:

This is a key operational leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational delivery, ensuring safety and quality, and developing a high-performing team. This role will provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership as the business enters its next stage of growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and oversee operations, project delivery, safety, quality, and compliance
  • Manage and develop a diverse operational team, including project managers, site teams, and back-office staff
  • Drive operational efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Oversee multi-utility operations including civils, fibre, power, and water
  • Analyse and interpret operational data, providing insight to support business decisions
  • Support client relationships and ensure smooth delivery across national projects
  • Work closely with the MD and CEO to achieve growth, profitability, and client delivery targets

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in multi-utility operations desirable (telecoms, civils, ICP power, water)
  • Strong background in civil engineering
  • Proven experience managing teams of a similar size (operational, site-based, and back-office)
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and reporting systems
  • able to analyse and interpret data effectively
  • Demonstrable leadership capability with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational delivery
