Job Responsibility:
Owning AEA’s multi-year technology roadmap
Defining enterprise architecture principles and standards
Ensuring scalability, uptime, and clinical safety by design
Leading architecture and design governance
Approving major technology investments and vendor solutions
Preventing platform sprawl and duplication
Leading cybersecurity strategy and Essential Eight maturity
Owning disaster recovery and business continuity
Translating technology risk for executive and board stakeholders
Governing ERP, clinical, workforce, identity, and data platforms
Ensuring reliable, 24/7 service performance across all hospitals
Driving pragmatic IT service delivery (not bureaucracy)
Owning technology investment strategy and budget oversight
Acting as intelligent customer across all vendors
Ensuring AEA remains in control of its architecture and roadmap
Requirements:
10+ years’ experience in senior technology leadership roles
Proven GM / Head of Technology level accountability in complex environments
Experience owning enterprise architecture and technology strategy
Background in multi-site, regulated, or operationally critical organisations
Strong governance, risk, and platform management capability
Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on execution level
Nice to have:
Healthcare, veterinary, aged care, or critical services experience
Exposure to product-led operating models
Experience supporting scale, transformation, or acquisitions
Formal architecture or governance frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT)
