Job Description:

Step into a high-impact leadership role with RK Mechanical’s Special Projects Division, where you’ll build and grow a world-class mechanical operation within one of Colorado’s most trusted, award-winning construction companies. As the General Manager – Special Projects, you’ll own customer relationships, drive strategic business growth, and lead complex mechanical projects from concept to completion. With full P&L responsibility, the opportunity to shape long-term strategy, and the backing of RK’s seven specialized business units, you’ll make a measurable impact on customers, teams, and the future of our organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all RK Mechanical, LLC customers within the Special Projects division
  • Reduce General Contractor scale, acquire new business, and expand the Special Projects division
  • Ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with field labor leadership
  • Oversee project completion
  • Address any issues that arise
  • Prepare and oversee accurate estimates, scope letters
  • Responsible for P&L of the group, as well as monthly revenue forecasting and monthly financials
  • Actively engage in business development activities
  • Develop and implement business strategies
  • Lead the team on the management of projects
  • Oversee the daily operations of Business Unit/Operation Group Managers
  • Manage full P&L responsibility for the Special Projects division
  • Empower, select, coach, and retain qualified staff
  • Ensure continuous improvement through performance reviews, mentoring, and development planning
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Collaborate with the Account Executive (sales) to monitor business growth
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard policies and procedures within the division
  • Monitor and maintain the companies labor management processes

Requirements:

  • Extensive relevant experience (10+ years)
  • Strong educational background (Master’s or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical new-build commercial construction
  • Strategic leadership skills
