Job Description:

This is a key operational leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational delivery, ensuring safety and quality, and developing a high-performing team. This role will provide strategic and day-to-day operational leadership as the business enters its next stage of growth.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and oversee operations, project delivery, safety, quality, and compliance
Manage and develop a diverse operational team, including project managers, site teams, and back-office staff
Drive operational efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Oversee multi-utility operations including civils, fibre, power, and water
Analyse and interpret operational data, providing insight to support business decisions
Support client relationships and ensure smooth delivery across national projects
Work closely with the MD and CEO to achieve growth, profitability, and client delivery targets

Requirements:

Previous experience in multi-utility operations desirable (telecoms, civils, ICP power, water)
Strong background in civil engineering
Proven experience managing teams of a similar size (operational, site-based, and back-office)
Proficient in Excel, Word, and reporting systems
able to analyse and interpret data effectively
Demonstrable leadership capability with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational delivery
