Summit Skilled Solutions is currently seeking a skilled and dependable General Maintenance Technician for an industrial/commercial facility in the Corinth, Mississippi area. This position is ideal for a maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working across multiple building and facility systems. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift. Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibility:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial facility equipment
Conduct routine shift rounds to inspect equipment performance and identify maintenance concerns
Troubleshoot and repair facility systems including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire/life safety, Lighting systems
Maintain and repair transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, circuits, VFDs, dock equipment
Perform general facility maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing repairs, replacing fixtures and drains, rebuilding pumps/valves/steam traps/pneumatic devices
Assist with maintenance planning, vendor coordination, parts ordering, and project meetings
Enter maintenance documentation and work orders into CMMS systems
Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and facility personnel regarding maintenance status and repairs
Assist with facility projects and support subcontractors when necessary
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following OSHA and lockout/tagout procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments preferred
Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems
Valid driver's license required
Forklift and aerial lift/scissor lift operation experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, diagrams, and safety procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, email systems, CMMS software, and building automation systems
Nice to have:
Trade school or technical training preferred
Forklift and aerial lift/scissor lift operation experience preferred
