We are seeking a proactive and reliable General Maintenance Person to support the upkeep of our sites in Inchinnan and Westway, Glasgow. In this hands-on role, you will carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting and decorating, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment at all times. You will monitor materials and equipment, highlighting any requirements to maintain effective operations, and work closely with external contractors to coordinate on-site repairs and maintenance. This role would suit someone with a strong eye for detail who takes pride in their work, plans effectively, and can identify and address issues before they arise.
Job Responsibility
Inspect worksite daily to identify problems such as faulty lighting and door security
Carry out regular facility services and respond to requests for maintenance services
Repair basic plumbing, electrical and maintenance items as required, engaging contractors where necessary
Ensure the parking and paths are free from debris
Complete vehicle checks as required, drop off and collect vehicles from various garages for MOT and servicing
Complete painting and decorating, office furniture changes as required
Complete stock checks on all coffee & tea stations, refilling as needed
Purchase stock and fruit for both sites
Complete, daily, weekly, & monthly tasks, on time
Requirements
Ability to demonstrate transferrable trade skills experience
A full UK driving licence
Previous experience in a similar role
Good communication skills
Well-organised and apt in problem-solving
Literate and numerate, basic computer skills
Positive attitude and commitment to providing a well-maintained environment in line with input from our Health and Safety department
The ability to work as part of a team and to promote professional working relationships
