Job Responsibility

Perform installation, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment
Execute preventive maintenance to reduce production downtime
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and parts usage
Inspect plant systems to identify and prevent failures
Operate forklifts and other lifts safely after training
Follow OSHA and plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks
Train and support other maintenance team members

Technical School Graduate in Industrial Maintenance
Two years experience in maintenance
Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, or other shifts if required
Must maintain a good performance and attendance record

Job Responsibility

Aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of the installation, service, repair and inspection of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical portions of all facility equipment
Know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment working with primary high voltage and secondary distribution voltages, proper grounding of equipment, compliance with practices as specified in the National Electrical Code or superseding regulations, rigging and lifting, welding, cutting, handling of hazardous materials, and working from ladders, scaffolds and overhead structures
Must be available for emergency calls on all shifts, and must work the required overtime to maintain production efficiency
Must be able to communicate instructions in emergency situations
Must work and communicate with outside contractors as necessary
Know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate work being performed
Know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed
Report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work
Maintain work area in neat and clean conditions and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work
Report immediately to his Foreman or Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years General Maintenance experience
HVAC/Refrigeration experience is required
Experience pipe-fitting and welding
Ability to perform industrial maintenance, install/troubleshoot motor control circuits, relay logic and PLCs and troubleshoot air conditioning and heating systems
Lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs, lift 30 lbs above the shoulder
Able to bend/stoop, climb ladders
Ability to work at heights, meet confined space entry requirements and work in unfavorable conditions (hot/cold temperatures)
Basic Electrical Skills: Use electrical test equipment: voltmeter, ammeter, meg-ohmmeter
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and the national electric code to size fuses, circuit breakers, overloads, transformers and wiring

Job Responsibility

Perform maintenance and PMs on HVAC equipment to include DX units, air handlers, chillers, towers, fans, pumps and refrigerators
Build, install and troubleshoot basic control circuits for equipment
Operate and maintain 3-phase motors and in-plant power distribution systems
Fix and maintain refrigerant circuits, chilled water and steam delivery systems
Solve control circuits: motor control circuits, plc control circuits
Fix peripheral input/output devices to include Thermocouples, RTDs, Control Valves
Configure and Fix VFDs
Pipe fitting and welding
Must have knowledge of both plant and departmental environmental health and safety regulations and follow said regulations accordingly
Other duties as assigned.
