Responsible for providing a wide variety of Preventive Maintenance, Unscheduled Repairs and Guest Request Calls of the highest quality referred to as “Service Requests / Preventive Maintenance Request”. Responsible for the routine scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) of the mechanical equipment as assigned. This position requires extensive guest contact; the service and attitude must be of the highest standards, quality and professionalism. This position is empowered to exceed expectations and provide a solution to any challenge the guest may encounter doing their stay, which will promote return visits and build brand recognition. Responsible for responding to “House Calls” (internal request for services) with the same level of service.
Job Responsibility:
Perform “Guest Requests/Service/Preventive Maintenance Requests/Unscheduled Work Orders” as assigned
Respond to “Guest Requests” within 15 minutes / House Calls within 30 minutes
Track calls in Servidyne
Communicate completion to dispatch
Perform routine scheduled PM’s on assigned guestrooms and public areas and document in Servidyne
Perform routine inspections and repairs on VIP rooms
Perform daily Preventive Maintenance on electrical systems
Provide assistance and training to other Engineers
Development of temporary power distribution equipment
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned shops, mechanical areas, tool carts and tools
Maintain all equipment in first class condition
Always work in a safe and orderly manner
Track all Team Memberd inventory
Always clean up after each task
Report any unsafe condition to your manager immediately
Support and insure compliance with all Policies and Procedures
Support and insure compliance of all local, state and federal regulations
Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must have valid South Carolina Driver’s license and meet resort driving standards
Must be able to drive guests safely in extreme weather conditions (rain, wind, fog)
Must understand the usage of hand tools and some power tools
Must be able to read blueprints, wiring schematics and technical manuals
Must be familiar with The National Electrical Code
Must have experience in equipment safety procedures and equipment lock-out / tag-out procedures
Must have conduit sizing and bending skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must be able to work well under pressure
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
Must be highly detailed orientated
Basic mathematical skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must have excellent listening skills
Must possesses excellent communication skills
Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
Must always ensure a teamwork environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Team Members
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
Must have basic mechanical skills in plumbing, electrical and general repairs of appliances
At least 2 years in the hospitality or service industry preferred
High School graduate or Technical/Trade School preferred
3 plus years experience preferred
