Maintenance Engineers contribute to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Mid-Level General Maintenance Engineer to support the daily upkeep and functionality of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation of technical skills and a proactive attitude to maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our guests and team members.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including basic inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs across hotel facilities and equipment
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify potential maintenance needs and report issues to the Engineering leadership team
  • Respond to guest maintenance requests with a focus on efficiency, professionalism, and guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers and departments to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and organized manner
  • Assist in troubleshooting and performing basic repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems under guidance when necessary
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime
  • Work with contractors or senior engineers on more complex repairs or renovation projects
  • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, repairs, and inventory usage
  • Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with hotel and regulatory maintenance procedures
  • Contribute to occasional special projects, renovations, or room refresh initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years experience as a General Maintenance Engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • kitchen equipment knowledge/experience
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
  • High school diploma or equivalent
