Job Description:

We are currently seeking a General Lending Lawyer to work with Axiom’s clients across a variety of sectors. This role involves providing practical, business-focused legal advice and support on a wide range of lending transactions. You will act for lenders, borrowers, and institutional clients on general lending matters, including syndicated and bilateral loan arrangements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide legal advice and support on general lending transactions acting for both lenders and borrowers
  • Draft, negotiate, and review financing documentation including loan facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, ancillary documents, and corporate authority documents
  • Manage domestic and cross-border transactions and coordinate with external counsel
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within the business

Requirements:

  • Strong academic credentials and proven experience in general banking and finance matters ideally with exposure corporate clients
  • Commercial awareness and ability to provide pragmatic solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges
  • Experience gained in leading law firms or high-quality in-house teams is advantageous
  • You must have the right to work and be eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK
