Job Description:

Working as Part-time General Ledger Support, you will perform a variety of corporate accounting responsibilities that support and assist in the processing of divisional financial statement reporting for Fastenal's world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Processing and recording monthly general ledger entries
  • Processing accounting system updates to general ledger accounts and departments
  • Performing various general ledger reconciliations
  • Assisting with the month-end and quarter-end general ledger close
  • Completing special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

Requirements:

  • Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study OR have related work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently and in a team environment
