The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day GL accounting activities and supporting accurate, timely financial reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and manage the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries
Own month‑end and year‑end close processes and timelines
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
Perform accruals, prepaids, amortizations, and reclassifications
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
Support financial reporting and management schedules
Assist with audit requests and documentation
Partner with AP, AR, and Payroll to ensure accurate postings
Identify opportunities for process improvements and internal controls
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong GL focus
Proven experience with month‑end close and reconciliations
Solid understanding of GAAP
Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
