Robert Half is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical General Ledger (GL) Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and compliance activities within a multi‑entity environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial data while supporting organizational values and operational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct thorough research and analysis of historical financial data
Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness
Perform general ledger and account reconciliations
Complete month‑end close activities
Compare anticipated versus actual results and identify variances and improvement opportunities
Research and resolve payment discrepancies

Post payments and prepare monthly metrics
Prepare accurate financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership and board meetings
Support compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirements
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information, including HIPAA compliance
Communicate responsively and professionally with team members, leadership, and external partners
Maintain professional growth and stay current on accounting standards and regulations
Keep supervisor informed of departmental activities, risks, and needs
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and performance standards
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
(Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
2–5 years of experience in general accounting, financial analysis, or accounts receivable
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping, and A/R processes
Experience working with financial databases and accounting software
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and spreadsheet analysis
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to prepare clear, detailed financial reports and charts
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions
Strong customer service mindset when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to collaborate effectively on team projects and contribute ideas respectfully
Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and commitment to continuous improvement
