Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant to add to their established team. In this role, you will help manage key accounting operations, ensuring financial data accuracy and supporting the organization’s accounting processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, enjoys working with financial systems and data integrations, and is interested in developing expertise in healthcare accounting and financial operations.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with general ledger accounting activities for a multi-entity medical practice
Prepare, review, and post journal entries in Sage Intacct
Support month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and reporting
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, including depreciation tracking
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Assist with data integration between Accounts Payable, Billing, Payroll, and the general ledger
Help ensure accurate expense classification and financial coding
Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reconciliation
Contribute to internal financial reporting and audit preparation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and data accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Strong Microsoft Excel skills + accounting systems
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Nice to have:
Previous experience in healthcare accounting or multi-entity environments preferred
