The GL Accountant reports to the EIMEA Record to Report (RTR) Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s financial and statutory statements are prepared accurately and in compliance with Statutory, US GAAP, and Tax regulations. Additionally, the role provides financial, tax, and legal support to Company management.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare monthly accounts in compliance with US GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and H.B. Fuller internal policies and procedures, within timelines established by Corporate Management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for the EIMEA Accounting Team
Ensure that financial statements present a true and fair view of the Company’s operations
Ensure statutory annual accounts and tax returns are prepared and filed on time in cooperation with local tax advisors
Manage all other statutory and tax filings at the Company level (e.g., national statistics questionnaires, VAT declarations, etc.)
Prepare the annual 10-K reporting package and corporate tax questionnaires
Record and review all RTR journal entries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper supporting documentation
Perform monthly BlackLine account reconciliations, ensuring adequate support and appropriate aging of balances
Execute internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements
Support the RTR team with internal and external audit requests
Perform other RTR-related tasks as required
Prepare monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss variance analyses in line with Company thresholds, identifying key drivers and proactively flagging unusual trends or transactions
Support additional financial analyses and ad hoc requests from Management
Review and update process documentation for transitioned and existing activities to ensure procedures adequately support business objectives
Improve finance processes, information systems, and internal controls to simplify and standardize accounting structures and enhance financial reporting accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong technical accounting background with a professional accounting qualification (CPA, TOC, or equivalent)
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in multinational companies or Shared Service Centers
Excellent written and spoken English
Experience with SAP or another ERP system is required
Advanced Excel skills
