General labourer Job at Randstad (Abbotsford)

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and safety-conscious individual to join the team of General Labourers for a reputable rebar fabricator/distributor. Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday. Shift Time: Afternoon Shift; 1:45 PM TO 11:45 PM. 2 days training on day shift to start (6:00 AM - 2:15 PM). Wage: $26/hour ($24 + $2 shift premium). Location: Abbotsford, BC. Temporary 1-2 months. Will be working outdoors 100% of the time in all weather.

Job Responsibility

Perform general shop labour, including moving material, organizing steel stock, and keeping the workstation safe and clear
Feeding rebar into a machine to be forged (will be trained)
Assist with warehouse duties such as picking and pallet packing when needed
Work closely with a team to ensure are ready or transport by deadline given

Requirements

Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
Must be able to read a measuring tape
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
Comfortable working outdoors 100% of the time
Strong communication skills + a collaborative mindset
Safety-conscious mindset
Steel toed ankle high boots required + safety vest (if you have)
Not short sleeved shirts, no shorts
