Job Description:

Contract to Permanent JOB IN AJAX FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR LONG TERM AND STABLE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. As a general labour employee, you will be working in a corrugated cardboard box printing environment and will be performing a variety of duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Place the pallet onto the floor with a tear sheet on the pallet
  • Remove carton stacks from the conveyor and stack them as neatly as possible onto pallets
  • Ensure the stack does not go beyond standard height then remove the skid and start a new one
  • Remove all sub-standard cartons, check for printing/cutting problems, and notify the operator/printer if such are found
  • Remove internal scrap off the cartons as needed
  • Place a tear sheet between each layer of stacked cartons
  • Ensure that each pallet has a load tag and flash carton
  • Lifting from 20 lbs to 50lbs continuously
  • Rotating all shifts
  • Repetitive movements
  • OT is optional
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of working in a manufacturing or general labour environment is required
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs continuously
  • MUST be willing to work in the rotational shifts
  • MUST have access to reliable transport (facility is on the GO/Durham Transit Line)
