In this role, you will be essential to our daily operations—managing heavy materials, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe, efficient job site.

Job Responsibility

Regularly and safely lift, move, load, and unload heavy materials (50+ lbs)
Confidently and safely utilize a range of hand and power tools
Clear debris, prep work areas, and eliminate potential hazards to ensure a clean site
Comfortably perform tasks both indoors and outdoors across varying weather conditions
Collaborate with skilled trades and follow supervisors' directions to meet daily project goals
Maintain a safety-first mindset by strictly adhering to site protocols and wearing required PPE
General Site Maintenance & Prep: Clean and clear work areas, remove debris, and dispose of waste materials
Set up temporary structures, scaffolding, safety barriers, or staging areas
Organize, sort, and stack inventory, tools, and construction materials
Material Handling & Physical Labour: Manually load and unload delivery trucks, shipping containers, or trailers
Perform continuous physical tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads
Spot and guide heavy machinery operators
Tool & Equipment Operation: Clean, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on hand and power tools
Safely transport tools and equipment to and from different areas of the job site
Safety & Teamwork: Immediately report any unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or near-miss incidents
Follow all company safety guidelines, occupational health and safety regulations, and wear the required PPE
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and skilled tradespeople

Requirements

Proven experience in general labour, construction, landscaping, or a similar rugged environment
Strong familiarity with standard hand and power tools
Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods
Comfortable working in changing environments (dust, noise, heat, cold)
Strong work ethic, punctual, and possesses reliable transportation to get to the job site
Steel-toed boots (CSA approved) are a must
