Job Description:

Role Summary: Are you ready to help shape the future of sustainable manufacturing? This newly created role is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of RHI Magnesita's recycling initiatives. As part of a fast-moving and collaborative team, you'll drive the logistics and coordination that make our recycling pipeline work—from sample sourcing to processor engagement and cost analysis. RHI Magnesita is seeking a reliable and safety-focused General Laborer to join our manufacturing team in Moulton, Alabama. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks, including operating heavy equipment, performing general labor, and supporting production operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate overhead cranes to safely lift and move large, heavy concrete pieces
  • Use hand tools such as hammers for assembly, demolition, or adjustment tasks
  • Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials and products throughout the facility
  • Utilize shelving systems for organizing, storing, and retrieving materials
  • Perform general labor duties, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), material handling, and assisting with production as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Support other departments as required to ensure smooth manufacturing operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate overhead cranes and sit-down forklifts (training provided)
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding work
  • Strong commitment to safety and following established protocols
  • Flexibility to work any shift, including nights and weekends
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
